SHED. As of June 2024, the companies Messersì SPA, AM Microsystems SRL and G.F. Impianti SRL, united in a Temporary group of companies, have launched the project entitled “SMART HEAVY-DUTY ELECTRIC DUMPER – S.H.E.D.”, co-funded by the Marche Region under the “ERDF PR 2021-2027 – AXIS 1 – SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE 1. 1 – ACTION 1.1.1 – Call for proposals “RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TO INNOVATE THE MARCHE” – Incentives to enterprises for industrial research and experimental development activities in the areas of the Regional Strategy for Smart Specialization – AGGREGATION OF ENTERPRISES.”

The S.H.E.D. Project, with a budgeted duration of 18 months, was born from the union of intentions of three distinct companies in the Marche region, operating on sectors equally different from each other, but which jointly, thanks to the complementarity of knowledge and skills, set themselves the goal of innovating both a part of the production process of the MIDI Dumper product and introducing new versions on the market that were not present until now.

The main objective of the project is to prototype 4 new models of MIDI Dumpers having different motorizations (power/size) and propulsions (electric-endothermic) and to automate the testing phase of the dumpers. S.H.E.D. is divided into 3 Work Packages, one dedicated to the development and prototyping of the new dumpers (coordinated by Messersì SPA), one dedicated to the definition and prototyping of a HW/SW monitoring and control system for the dumpers and for its interaction with the testing system (coordinated by AM Microsystems), and one WP dedicated to the prototyping of the new bench for the automation of the current manual process of testing dumpers (coordinated by G.F. Impianti).
